Almighty God, our Heavenly Father:

For many, many centuries our Jewish brethren would pray, "Next year in Jerusalem." And then, in a single day in 1948 and in less than a week in 1967, the promise You made to Abraham millennia back was fulfilled. For there is nothing, O God, impossible with You.

For many decades, believers in Jesus have prayed for revival in this land—a revival like the one in U.S. history known as the First Great Awakening and which set the  foundation for our nation's Independence a short time after—a revival like that First Great Awakening, but only greater.  A revival like the Second Great Awakening that purified and strengthened the young nation in that day, but one only greater.  A revival like that promised to the prophet Joel millennia ago and which was experienced by the apostles on the mighty day of Pentecost—but, yes, one possibly even greater, for that promise finds its ultimate fulfillment in the last days.

Father on this the 250th anniversary as a nation whose founders, the vast majority of whom were godly men and women who loved the Lord Jesus and believed firmly in Your Scripture… whose founders sought to do that which was right in Your eyes—on this 250th celebration remember before Your throne the prayers and hearts desires of those special people and send forth true revival in our land in this, a consecrated time.  Across this country, light the lampstands O God so that the gospel of salvation in Jesus would shine in every corner of the land, even to the ends of the earth.  For there is nothing, Father God… there is nothing impossible with You.

And to this cause and for this purpose, make Your church a serious church, Your servants dedicated to living according to Your will.  Make Your church a Scriptural church, where believers know and stand upon the truth of Your Word.  Restore Your church to be a holy church, the pure bride of Christ arrayed in the clean fine linen of righteous acts. And by the anointing of Your Holy Spirit, make Your church a powerful church, that no weapon of the enemy can prevail against it.

So glorify Your name, O Lord, in the church and in this nation.

We ask this as disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in His name we pray. Amen.
